Attached here is a brief list of some of the alterations that you can place side by side with modern versions to see what modern Biblical texts have changed— given with the Authorized King James Bible, the received format of the Bible, as the standard by which others are being judged. If you have never studied this topic you will be surprised by the changes found here. These major changes to the text of the Bible are to be found in every modern version except when specifically noted as unique to a specific version. Also included are a selection of changes from the NKJV where marked, and from a few earlier, pre-Tischendorf, Westcott and Hort translations.
This is the first of what I hope are many “study notes” that are intended to enhance further study. I have printed and distributed this list and the reader is officially encouraged to do likewise. All the information contained here is out in the open and anyone should be able to compare the verses simply by placing the two Versions side by side for themselves.
